Himlung Himal (7126 meters) is a traditional Himalayan expedition recognized for being among the less challenging and least technical peaks over 7000 meters to ascend (though it should not be taken lightly). According to the Himalayan Database, it has the highest documented success rate for summiting in comparison to other mountains. Himlung Himal is also famous for being one of the safest peaks to climb, featuring fewer technical challenges. The Nar-Phu valley, recognized for its remote setting and ancient legacy, presents climbers with another surprise: Himlung Himal. Himlung is situated northeast of the Annapurna Range, reaching a notable altitude of 7,126m. This mountain is situated at the eastern edge of the Phu valley, which ultimately connects to Tibet through Himlung’s minor summit – Himlung East. A distinct characteristic of Himlung is that it is comparatively straightforward in terms of technicalities and offers greater safety from avalanches and rockfalls.

The trek to Himlung takes the Annapurna path to Koto, and from Koto, it leads into Nar-Phu Gaun. The Koto road network has recently been enhanced, providing a picturesque and thrilling trip highlighted by varied scenery, ravines, springs, and nearby isolated villages showcasing rich culture, accompanied by stunning vistas of Ratna Chuli, Gyaji Khang, Nemjung, and many others as you continue your trek. The Nar-Phu valley, recognized for its remote setting and ancient legacy, presents climbers with another surprise: Himlung Himal.
