Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu

We pick you up at Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to a hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2 Permits Procedure and Full Day Guided Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu Valley by private vehicle

We take a tour of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. We’ll visit Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Stupa in our private van. The guide will give you an insight into the design and the history related to these heritages. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu

Day 3 Drive from Kathmandu to Jagat 1400m/8-9 hours by private vehicle

Driving along the beautiful Trishuli River at first and then along free-flowing Marsyangdi River, we reach Jagat by our private land cruiser after 9 hours of drive. We get to relish the view of Lamjung Himal (6983m), Peak 29 (7871m), Manaslu (8156m), and the other Himalayas, during our drive. Overnight at a lodge in Jagat.

Day 4 Trek from Jagat to Dharapani 1860m/5-6 hours

Leaving Jagat, we trek through dense forests of rhododendron and juniper to reach Chamje. From Chamje, we cross a suspension bridge and move along rocky trails till we reach Tal. We come across the beautiful waterfall in Tal and continue our trek. We trek for a couple of hours to reach Kotro which leads us to Dharapani. Overnight at a lodge in Dharapani.

Day 5 Trek from Dharapani to Koto 2600m/5-6 hours

Trekking through fir and pine forests, we reach Bagarchhap. We enjoy the alluring view of Peak 29 (7871m) and Manaslu (8156m) on our way to Timang via Danakyu. We pass other small villages and trek along rocky trails till we reach Koto which hosts superb view of the Annapurna range. Overnight at a lodge in Koto.

Day 6  Trek from Koto to Meta 3570m/6-7 hours (Nar-Phu Valley Restricted Area Permit Entry)

We enter the restricted area with our permits and continue our trek along Naar Khola. Trekking through dense forests of juniper and pine, we cross a suspension bridge and reach Dharmasala. We come across a beautiful waterfall on our way to Meta. After trekking for 7 hours, we reach Meta. Overnight at a lodge in Meta.

Day 7 Trek from Meta to Kyang 3840m/4-5 hours

We begin our trek gradually climbing up and down the trail before crossing suspension bridges over different streams. We walk past the big Chortens near Naar Phedi and enter the forested path up to Mahendra Pul. We then continue to trek crossing Mruju Khola as we head towards the high plateau of Kyang. We also pass through remnants and ruined forts of the Khampa settlement at places like Jhuam and Chyakhu before we reach Kyang. Overnight at a lodge in Kyang.

Day 8  Trek from Kyang to Phu 3900m/3-4 hours

We continue to trek on the rocky trail until we reach Phu village. We can get the sight of blue sheep, along the way. Phu is a village inhabited by mixed ethnic groups like Gurung, Ghale, and Tibetans, where we get to understand their unique culture and lifestyle. We also visit the ancient Buddhist monastery known as Tashi Lakhang Monastery, which is believed to be the last monastery constructed by Karmapa Rinpoche. Overnight at a lodge in Phu.

Day 9 Trek from Phu to Nar 4100m/6-7 hours

Trekking downhill and crossing many small streams on suspension bridges, we pass lush Himalayan forests to reach Mahendra Pul. We trek through the gorge of Labse River before descending downhill to Nar. We will pass many Buddhist stupas and monasteries on our way to Nar. Overnight at a lodge in Nar.

Day 10 Trek from Nar to Kang-La 5322m to Ngawal 3660m/6-7 hours (Nar-Phu Valley Restricted Area Permit Exit)

We kick off our day by trekking uphill to Jhombu Kharka aka Kang-La which hosts an outstanding view of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri range, and the other Himalayas. On our way to Kang-La, we may come across some yak herder’s camps. After relishing the beautiful panorama of the Himalayas, we trek downhill to Ngawal. Overnight at a lodge in Ngawal.

Day 11 Trek from Ngawal to Manang 3540m/3-4 hours

Trekking downhill, we explore some monasteries on our way to Braga. From Braga, we trek for an hour to enter the valley of Manang. We then hike up to Chhunker viewpoint which hosts a spectacular view of Gangapurna Lake (3500m) along with Annapurna range, Tilicho Peak (7134m), Pisang Peak (6091m), Chulu Peak (6429m),  and the other Himalayas. Later, we explore the Cave Gompa on our way back to a lodge in Manang where we would be spending our overnight stay. We get to enjoy the typical Thakali food in the small town of Manang. Overnight at a lodge in Manang.

Day 12  Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka 4018m/4-5 hours

Climbing several rocky ridges, we head towards Yak Kharka. We will trek through beautiful forests of rhododendron, juniper, and pine, and may encounter yaks grazing in the field. The trail to Yak Kharka features monasteries and Mani walls decorated with colorful prayer flags and with a backdrop of the Himalayas. After 4 hours of trek, we reach Yak Kharka. Overnight at a lodge in Yak Kharka.

Day 13 Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi 4450m/4-5 hours

We climb few ridges along Kali Gandaki River until we reach Ledar. We then cross a wooden bridge over the river and climb steep trails till we reach Thorong Phedi. We spend the rest of the day acclimatizing to high altitude. Overnight at a lodge in Thorong Phedi.

Day 14 Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath 3800m/7-8 hours via Thorong-La Pass 5416m 

Ascending steep trails, we reach Thorong High Camp which is the gateway to the highest mountain pass in Nepal, Thorong-La Pass. We climb steep rocky ridges and reach Thorong-La Pass. We relish the alluring panorama of the Himalayas from the pass and trek downhill till we reach Chabarbu. From Chabarbu, we trek for a couple of hours and reach the holy Muktinath. Overnight at a lodge in Muktinath.

Day 15 Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom 2710m/5-6 hours via Lupra Village 2790m

 
From Muktinath, we commence our return journey gradually walking along the ridge with unparalleled sights of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Nilgiri Peak (7061m), Tilicho Peak (7134m), Annapurna I (8091m), and so on. Descending along the bare hills on a sandy path, we reach Lupra Village, which is one of the oldest settlements of this region. In Lupra village, we visit the 11th-century Lupra Monastery, where we can see the paintings of the various deities of Tibetan Buddhism. From Lupra, we descend alongside Panda River until we reach a suspension bridge below Ekle Bhatti. Then an easy walk along the Kali Gandaki River takes us back to the windy town of Jomsom. Overnight at a hotel in Jomsom.

Day 16  Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara 20 minutes and half day sightseeing tour in Pokhara valley

We catch our early morning scenic flight to Pokhara from Jomsom. Throughout the flight, we can enjoy the scenic and glorious view of the Annapurna range. We check into a hotel in Pokhara and then go sightseeing. We visit different places of Pokhara like Davis Falls, Gupteswor Cave, World Peace Stupa and also go for a boat ride on Phewa Lake. Overnight at a 5-star hotel in Pokhara.

Day 17 Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu 25 minutes 

Today, we return back to Kathmandu catching an early morning flight from Pokhara. We transfer you to the hotel in Kathmandu and give the rest of the day to yourself. You can either take a rest or shop around the market in Kathmandu. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 18  Final Departure from Kathmandu

After breakfast at hotel, as per your departure flight time, we drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight back home.
